Indigenous Skills Employment Training (ISET) Program

The Goal of the ISET Program is to reduce the skills and employment gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.

The ISET Program provides access to training and employment supports to all Indigenous people in Canada residing both on and off First Nation, in urban centres, in communities, including status and non-status First Nations people, Metis and Inuit.  All working age Indigenous people, regardless of status, location, education level or employment barriers can be provided access to at least a minimum level of employment and training services provided by Indigenous Service Providers.

This minimum level of services includes:

  • Client assessment;
  • Access to labour market information; and
  • Access to technical supports (computer, internet) to support job and training research.

TCETSA’s main funding sources is through the ISET Program which is funded by Employment and Skills Development Canada.
